Ancienne Belgique

Scenography for a live concert for ROZA at l’Ancienne Belgique

Collaboration with ROZA, a Brussels-based singer & songwriter at the crossroads of neoclassical folk, poetry and social engagement, to develop the full scenography for her solo live performance at Ancienne Belgique (AB), Brussels’ iconic concert venue for contemporary music. Designed and built a foldable, easy-to-deploy light structure and cloth, paired with real-time visuals made in TouchDesigner (a node-based software for building interactive, real-time audiovisual content) and connected to Ableton Live (the DAW ROZA performs with). The system runs fully independently: both the singer and the visuals — audio-reactive and driven by a Kinect motion sensor — are controlled live directly from her Ableton session, with a custom TouchDesigner visual composed for each song. The structure was designed as a reusable scenography, built to be redeployed for future shows.

One concert, 200+ attendees.
