Light-bending sound-reactive installation
The project has a dual objective: creating the feeling of holographic projection in low-light environments such as parties, while reflecting light to illuminate the space. The projections are live-reactive, which causes both the hologram and the reflection to change over time. To enhance and multiply the effect, multiple layers are mounted so that the holograms and reflections are doubled and visible from different angles.
The structures are adapted to project from the ceiling or from a horizontal level, and are built using modulair bars and connectors, together with thin plastic film layers. Each film has a specific thickness that refracts and reflects a different color (wavelength) from a white light source.
